As of March 16th 2020, multiple U.S. Embassies are cancelling routine Non immigrant visa appointments in order to reschedule for a later date. As a reminder, the MRV fee is valid for one year and may be used for a visa application in the country where it was purchased within one year of the date of payment.
We do not know whether, or not, the Embassy will stop accepting applications but as of today, appointments are still available and the Embassy is still accepting US Visa Applications online.
If you reside or have traveled recently to China, Italy, Korea, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland before your planned trip to the United States, we recommend that you postpone your visa interview appointment by at least 14 days after your departure from the above mentioned countries.
Additionally, if you
you are strongly encouraged to postpone your interview appointment by at least 14 days.
There is no fee to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid.
